Overcomers Shall Inherit All Things

“He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:7-8, NKJV)

The passage contrasted the end of the two groups of people: The first will inherit all things and will be with God, and the second will go to the lake of fire, which is the eternal punishment. Have you considered which group you want to join?

In the entirety of the Holy Scriptures, the Word of God presented God’s heart, which is to save people from eternal death. From Genesis chapter 3, God laid His plan, which spoke about the coming of the savior to destroy the work of sin and the devil. But the deed of man’s sinful flesh continuous to separate him from the loving God who never stopped loving and offering His grace. This daily battle has been man’s struggle – to fight and resist the devil and the lust of the flesh!

The devil knows his end is the lake of fire. The Lord Jesus Christ mentioned in Matthew 25:41 that God prepared hell for the devil and his angels. Satan is no match to our God, so he resorted to destroying the life of God’s children. Now, what he wants to do is to take as many souls as he could to hell to hurt God.

Our God is not pleased with the death of a sinner, for he desires everyone to repent (Ezekiel 18:23; 33:11). Many people think Christianity offers nothing but judgment. But our Lord Jesus Christ came not to condemn (John 3:17) but to save and offer life to the dying humanity and not just experience forgiveness and healing but to become overcomers (Romans 8:31-39).
